Description

specification

Part Number: RocketM5
Ubiquiti Rocket M5, hi-power, very linear 2×2 MIMO radio with enhanced receiver performance. It features incredible range performance (50+km) and breakthrough speed (150+Mbps real TCPI/IP). The device was specifically designed for outdoor PtP bridging and PTMP AirMax base-station applications.
Rocket M and AirMax BaseStation/Rocket Antennas have been designed to seamlessly work together. Installing Rocket M on AirMax BaseStation/Rocket Antennas requires no special tools, you simply snap it into place with the mount provided with the Antennas.Vendor’s website
Features
Maximum data transfer rate  The maximum speed with which data can be transmitted from one device to another. 300  Mbit/s
Wi-Fi data rate (max) 300  Mbit/s
Ethernet LAN data rates  The different speed levels of the Ethernet LAN connection. 10,100  Mbit/s
Frequency band  A small section of the spectrum of radio communication frequencies, in which channels are usually used or set aside for the same purpose e.g.for a channel on FM radio; for mobile networks to communicate with mobile phones. 5.47 – 5.825
Networking standards  The way in which the network is working, e.g. IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g. IEEE 802.11a,IEEE 802.11n,IEEE 802.3,IEEE 802.3u
Modulation  Modulation is the process of varying one or more properties of a periodic waveform, called the carrier signal (High Frequency Signal), with a modulating signal which typically contains information to be transmitted. The aim of digital modulation is to transfer a digital bit stream over an analog bandpass channel, for example over the public switched telephone network (where a bandpass filter limits the frequency range to between 300 and 3400 Hz), or over a limited radio frequency band. The aim of analog modulation is to transfer an analog baseband (or lowpass) signal, for example an audio signal or TV signal, over an analog bandpass channel at a different frequency, for example over a limited radio frequency band or a cable TV network channel. OFDM
Maximum outdoor range  The maximum distance to which the signals are transmitted, when the device is used outdoors. 50000
Receiver sensitivity -96 dBm
Security
Security algorithms  Security algorithms are used to provide authentication, cipher key generation, integrity and radio link privacy to users on mobile networks. The security algorithms supported are the ones that can be used with this product. 128-bit WEP,152-bit WEP,64-bit WEP,802.1x RADIUS,WPA,WPA2
Protocols
DHCP server  A server is a system which that responds to requests across a computer network to provide, or help to provide, a network service. DCHP servers uses the DCHP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), which is a standardized networking protocol used by servers on an IP network to allocate IP addresses to computers. The purpose of DHCP is to automate the IP address configuration of a computer without a network administrator. IP addresses are typically selected from a range of assigned IP addresses stored in a database on the server and issued to a computer which requests a new IP address. An IP address is assigned to a computer for a set interval, after which, the computer must renew the IP address or acquire a new one. Yes
DHCP client  Whether the product features a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) to obtain IP addresses within a network. Yes
Ports & interfaces
Interface  Interface ports to connect pieces of equipment. USB (Universal Serial Bus) has become the most popular wired interface to connect peripherals. USB 2.0 supports speeds up to 480 Mbit/s (USB 1: 12 Mbit/s). The interface FireWire is also known as the IEEE 1394 standard. Enhanced IDE (EIDE)is sometimes referred to as Fast ATA, Fast IDE or ATA-2. LAN, WLAN
Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports  Number of Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports (connecting interfaces) in the device. Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports allow a computer to connect to the ethernet. 1
Power
Input voltage  The voltage (V) which is required to power the product. 24
Input current 1
Output power description 27 dBm
Power consumption (typical)  Amount of power consumed by this model, often expressed in watts (W). Typical values that manufacturers give are power consumption when off, standby/suspended mode, typical use, maximum usage. 6.5
Design
Product colour  The colour e.g. red, blue, green, black, white. White
LED indicators Yes
Certification FCC Part 15.247, IC RS210, CE\nRoHS
Internal  The product is built in. No
Antenna
Antenna type  Type of antenna, also known an aerial, e.g. external, internal. External
Antenna features Detachable antenna
Antennas quantity 2
Antenna connector type  The way in which the antenna is connected to the device e.g. coaxial. RP-SMA
Performance
Built-in processor Yes
Built-in processor  Whether or not a processor is built into the device. Yes
Processor model  The model number for the processor in a computer. Qualcomm Atheros
Processor frequency  The clock rate is the fundamental rate in cycles per second (measured in hertz) at which a computer performs its most basic operations such as adding two numbers. There are more factors, like internal memory size, that influence a computer's actual response time. 400  MHz
Processor architecture MIPS 24Kc
Flash memory 8  MB
Internal memory  The amount of memory, usually measured in bytes (e.g. MB, GB), which is installed in the system's hardware. 64  MB
Operational conditions
Operating relative humidity (H-H) 5 – 95
Operating temperature (T-T)  The minimum and maximum temperatures at which the product can be safely operated. -30 – 75
Weight & dimensions
